Updates

Yeah, still waiting! Pretty much all that is going on with our upcoming cruise is getting things ready.

We purchased new luggage.  We got a fantastic deal on it, so it was worth getting, since we had to buy 1 more suitcase anyway, we got a 3 piece set for about the same price as 1 piece.  It's super smelly luggage though, so I'm glad we bought it so early so it has weeks to air out. I've already used it once for an overnight trip with just the boys, and it was packed completely full. Still light as a feather.

We also bought a new camera. We have one Kodak EasyShare already and I love it, so just picking up a waterproof one was a no brainer. We don't plan to take underwater pictures, but with so much beach time planned, and pool time, we both decided that we'd feel more comfortable with a waterproof camera.

We all got new swimsuits/trunks. We bought rashguard shirts for the boys, since I really don't want to worry about burned backs. Ouch!


I'm slowly picking up things for our 1st aid kit, and toiletries. I'm packing that stuff with worst-case scenarios in mind, so lots of bandaids, nausea meds, immodium, etc. I do NOT want to have to pay $150 for the ship doc to give someone an aspirin.

Also trying to get the kids psyched up about going to "Ship School" which is what we are calling Camp Carnival. Max (4) is so excited. Simon? Well, he's not 2 yet, so he still doesn't quite get it. And he's in a clingy stage right now, so he may not be able to even handle it. Which is fine. We are prepared to have to entertain them 24/7.

So...still just waiting. The days are zooming by. I'm SO ready for vacation, but I know it is going to go by so quickly. They are right when they say the best part about vacation is the month before. The anticipation! Love it!
